We are looking to break ground and begin the excavating process in August of 2026! An official date is coming soon.

As a Cotter Parent and Neighborhood Family here is what you can expect:

• Minor traffic increases during work hours

• Occasional street parking impacts

• Clearly marked work zones for safety

What we are doing to help mitigate disruption:

• Prioritizing safe routes for students and families

• Keeping work hours consistent and predictable

We are committed to being good neighbors and appreciate your patience as we invest in our community.

We select future Habitat homeowners based on: the ability to pay (all homeowners have a mortgage), need for housing, and willingness to partner.

To Qualify for a Habitat Home:

• Your household income should fall between 30% and 80% of the area median income.

• You must have a need for affordable housing.

• If approved, you must volunteer for a minimum of 200 hours of sweat equity.

On the job site:

All of our construction programs are under the supervision of a licensed construction contractor. Our site will be fenced off, and equipped with cameras, to monitor after hour traffic. Additionally, we have robust construction safety policies. You can see it here. Additionally, we have a safety plan.
